Danny chewed on his bottom lip. “I think you might have a point, about what you said earlier today about being ashamed.”
“You want me to talk to him?”
“Uh, no, I do not want you to talk to him, I can talk to my own kid, but maybe just kind of be there? Sitting on the chair by the sofa? Quietly?” Danny shoved his hands in his pockets.
Steve looked at him, eyebrow raised; Danny’s shoulders dropped with the sigh that escaped his mouth.
“Fine, yes, I want you to talk to him.”
