Summary
This story picks up a few months after the end of Onyx Storm. Violet and her allies are losing badly to the dark wielders, friends and loved ones already dead, their defenses crumbling. Xaden is gone, consumed by venin power, and despite months of searching, Violet cannot find him or any cure.
Then Andarna returns from her time with the Irids, more mature and aware of her abilities. She re-bonds with Violet. She reveals that Irids have a unique connection to magic, making what they channel flexible, able to be shaped to nearly anything. Together, Andarna, Tairn, and Violet decide their only hope is to bend time itself.
Their plan: send Violet, Xaden, Andarna, Tairn, and Sgaeyl back to the months before the apostasy. Aaric (Cam Tauri) and his dragon Molvic, gifted with foresight, confirm that this path offers a chance at victory with one catch: Duke Fen Riorson must be convinced to organize a rebellion in secret, working from the shadows to avoid Melgren’s battle forsight, rather than declaring open secession and plunging Tyrrendor into war against Navarre. Any course that puts Tyrrendor on a path to direct military conflict with Navarre cannot win.
Or, another Fourth Wing Empyrean time travel au.

Summary
Xaden Riorson is bound by scars, secrets, and a bargain he never asked for. General Sorrengail has chained him to the survival of her youngest daughter, Violet. But the girl isn’t the fragile scribe he expected. She’s brilliant, stubborn, and already suspects that Navarre’s histories are lies. From the moment Xaden reads her intentions on the parapet, he knows she’s chasing forbidden truths about venin. Truths he’s bled to keep buried.
He should have made her fall. He swore he wanted her gone. Yet every glance pulls him tighter between his duty to the 107 marked ones and the raw attraction he can’t shut down. Violet is fire wrapped in fragile skin, and she forces him to feel what he thought had died with his father.
Now Xaden is chained to her survival, and to her dangerous pursuit of the truth. If Violet uncovers what Navarre has hidden, it could destroy everything he’s sacrificed for, and take him with it.

Summary
Violet Sorrengail had been preparing to be a scribe for as long as she can remember. Books and parchment, facts and history were to be her world. But when her father died a little over a year before her Conscription Day, she discovered a hidden note he had sealed inside the book of fables he read to her as a kid. Thrust into the Riders Quadrant under her mother’s command, Violet arrives armed with theories and burning questions. She suspects her father’s death is connected to the folklore of venin and wyvern recounted in the book of fables he chose to leave the note in. As Violet steps onto the parapet, she knows survival means more than claiming a dragon—it means uncovering the truths her father died to protect.
Or: Violet’s discovery of her father’s note after his death leads to a series of discoveries, and Violet faces the parapet with a very different attitude on Conscription Day.

Summary
Violet Sorrengail is thrust into the Riders Quadrant, but Tyrrendor never seceded. Years earlier, Duke Fen Riorson realized General Melgren’s prophetic signet ensured any open rebellion would fail. Instead of declaring secession and leading his allies to slaughter, Fen remained Duke of Tyrrendor and quietly built a hidden resistance under Navarre’s nose. Brennan Sorrengail defected under cover of his posting in Tyrrendor and became one of Fen’s lieutenants, while Xaden Riorson rose to Wingleader at Basgiath as part of the covert network.
Because Fen chose secrecy over secession, the rebellion was never crushed, and there are no “marked” children branded as traitors. Outwardly, Tyrrendor appears loyal to Navarre, but beneath the surface a clandestine movement is smuggling weapons, embedding loyal heirs in the Riders Quadrant, and preparing for the day Navarre’s lies collapse. Navarre's leaders are suspicious of Tyrrendor and are engaged in a covert battle for intelligence on the province’s leaders. When Violet bonds both Tairn and Andarna and discovers her father’s warning about the venin, she stumbles into this web of secrets and intrigue.
Navarre’s enemies are alive, organized, and hiding in plain sight.

Summary
She felt him dying. The pain, the hopelessness, the agony...it was feeding into her soul. She was watching her mother give her life to the ward stone. She was feeling everything and nothing. She wouldn't give up. She screamed and lashed out. Tairn power ripples with Andarna's, both of them filling me up and expanding, and I don't know why, but instead of pushing it out like I normally do, I pull it into myself. I feel Xaden with me; I feel his soul nestled next to me. I pull more and more til I'm screaming. Then the world goes dark... and starts anew.
*All the spoilers. However, it's a new world. Not everything will be the same.

Summary
“Violet Sorrengail.” I look up… and up. The man who spoke is over a foot taller than me. He had to be at least six foot four, and he looks as though the gods themselves sculpted his features. The most prominent being his onyx eyes that were flecked with gold… and also currently staring at me with an unbridled hatred. I know who he is though. I’ve heard him described long enough. This, was Xaden Riorson.
“Yes,” I say. “Are you going to kill me?”
“I have bigger things to worry about today than killing you, Sorrengail.”

AU where the Tyrrish rebellion happened several years later than canon, after Xaden’s first year at Basgiath. Violet, who joins the scribe quadrant is captured in battle and finds herself stuck behind enemy lines living in Riorson Castle.
