After an incident in his parent's lab gone wrong, Danny is rescued by his sister Jazz and is forced to flee his home for his own safety. With nowhere else to go, he learns of his original parents he didn't know about, and takes off to find them in Gotham. He has nothing to go on but a name and a city. Drake. Gotham. He's a Drake, he's a twin, and his parents are from Gotham. Now he just has to find his family.
Danny is a lost Drake, twin to Tim.

Summary
After graduating high school, Danny moved to Gotham to study and work and importantly not having to fight ghosts on a daily basis. Each hour spent as Phantom means two hours recovering for him, so he avoids it as best he can. As the Ghost King, he can't avoid it fully. He does well to stay under the radar, until his boss, Lucius Fox, wants him to work on a Top Secret Project. Coincidentally, he befriends Tim, not realizing who he is dealing with at first. Then Tim helps him recover after a rogue attack, and friendship turns into love quickly.
Uploads each Monday; Chapters around 4k words each. I have already written 120k words and am still counting.

The hospital room was stark and white. It seemed like a bad dream, now that he was staring at the ceiling, admiring how empty and featureless it was as he drifted away. Vlad was outside, talking to the doctors in a quiet, even voice, and Danny couldn't catch what they were saying.
He wondered, hazily, where his parents were, and why Vlad was speaking with the doctors instead. I dreamt I went to the future and I was a jerk and then everyone dies because the Nasty Burger explodes. The thought shocked him awake.--
