Summary
Four years after Prince Zuko had successfully captured the Avatar and returned home, Aang's friends are still struggling to continue fighting without him in a world run by the Fire Nation. Then one night, a small group of Earth Kingdom rebels accidentally run into Prince Zuko during one of their heists – and it seems like the fate of the world could change once again. There's just one small problem...
"I – um, okay –" Sokka shook his head, "mind explaining to me what the hell's going on?"
Zuko was still clearly debating between not wanting to willingly explain anything ever – and shutting Sokka up as quickly as possible.
After a moment's deliberation, he finally replied, "She's my daughter," and then added in an oddly pleading tone, "– please don't make an issue out of this, okay?"
Sokka stared at him, absolutely dumbfounded. "Your daughter... You – you have a child!?"

With Malleus out of his reach after his hatching, he always used to wonder if that promise could ever come true.
But as he mindlessly rests in his home deep in the forest, his wonders resurface as a certain baby dragon comes to visits.
