The back of the Jeep was warm, and Wolfwood was made even warmer by a certain blonde resting against his shoulder, his breathing even, calm, asleep.
It brought relief to Wolfwood, as he was concerned about the past few days, and the look on Blondie’s face before he had fallen asleep.Vash had taken a pretty good hit, two days earlier. A bullet had pierced through his shoulder while they had been running away from a gang of bandits.
He had been stubborn about it at first, insisting he was fine, that it wasn’t a big deal, he could take care of it himself, but Wolfwood wasn’t putting up with any of his usual bullshit.
