Summary
Ideas I considered while writing 'From the Bottom of this Cold Heart'.... I couldn't decide whether Lilith or Roo owned Alastor, and I don't want a hard answer until we get one in canon, but here are some ideas I had if Lilith was the one who owned his soul. Rough story line, will be short... mostly to just get these ideas out.

Bookmarker's Notes
Angel Dust was sprawled across the nearby loveseat, legs kicked up and tail swishing. “Okay, but seriously,” he said, “why not just ask your dad for help?”
Charlie blinked like she’d been slapped.
Husk smirked and raised his glass. “What, got daddy issues or somethin’?”
Charlie froze. Her jaw clenched.
Alastor cackled from the shadows. “Oh, delicious! Nothing quite spices up an afternoon like fatherly dysfunction. Do tell!”
Vaggie, standing stiffly by the door with her arms crossed, shot a look that could have lit the wallpaper on fire. “Guys. Maybe don’t—”
“No, it’s fine,” Charlie said abruptly, her voice a touch too high and bright. “Really. Totally fine.”
She stood up and paced toward the window, tension rolling off her like static. Her reflection in the cracked glass looked like someone else — someone a little too polished, a little too poised.
“My father,” she said carefully, “is… complicated.”
“Complicated?” Angel repeated, skeptical. “Toots, everyone’s got a complicated family. Mine tried to eat me when I turned fifteen. Still less dramatic than whatever’s going on with yours.”
Charlie gave a humorless laugh. “He’s not dramatic. He doesn’t do drama. He directs it. My father is… tall, elegant, brilliant, terrifying. You feel small just being in the same room. He talks like everything he says is the conclusion to a story you weren’t smart enough to follow.”
Alastor practically vibrated. “You’re describing a king! A maestro! A conductor of chaos!”
Charlie ignored him.
“He’s Hell’s ringmaster,” she continued. “He doesn’t love. He orchestrates. He cares about people the way he cares about a stage or an audience — only as long as they’re performing. And when they stop being useful…”
Her voice trailed off.
Husk blinked. “Damn.”
Angel scratched the back of his neck. “So, uh… not a great candidate for emotional support.”
“Not for anyone,” Charlie muttered. “He cared about Mom, once. Maybe. But only in that distant, possessive way he cares about anything that reflects well on him. And when she got tired of being treated like a trophy…” She shrugged. “She left. He let her.”
Alastor chuckled. “How romantic!”
Vaggie was quiet for a long moment before she stepped forward. “Charlie.”
Charlie turned.
Vaggie’s voice was calm, but her expression was serious. “You know I hate this. You know I don’t trust him. But we’re running out of options.”

Summary
One could say it was entertaining to watch the demon sulk over whatever Alastor’s eyes hadn’t been privy to, though he was otherwise certain must have been a lover’s quarrel. Add to that the fact he’d actually managed to pull the demon into a deal he was evidently too prideful to back out of and you got pure, unrestrained, recreational fun.

Summary
Lucifer doesn't get summoned to Earth very often, so when a human manages it and has an audacious proposal, he...actually considers the fact. Solely because the mortal has an irresistible scent, and while the Devil is in denial about the concept of soulmates, he finds that he can't resist the temptation when it turns out that it's not a one-sided bond after all.
