Summary

While Jinshi steps in to care for her physically, Maomao deals with the mental turmoil of taking a life.
With Maomao vulnerable and Jinshi doing his best to be patient with her, something begins to bloom between them.

Grief is a great and terrible wound. And, like any wound, if left untreated it can fester. Rot the hearts and minds of those afflicted.
Some allow themselves to mourn Clarines' loss; they treat their grief and heal from the tragedy.
Others let their grief become them. Corrupt them.
And, skilled as she may be at healing wounds, sometimes, they're already too deep by the time she's able to treat them.
Sometimes, she can't save everyone.
