Zagreus meets his half-Uncle, Chiron. No, I won't explain how he ended up there, this was just an excuse for me to give Zagreus another stable parental figure that he REALLY needs and deserves.
This uses the Song of Achilles version where Pat was there with Achilles and Chiron.

He racks his brain for a moment too long, the sound grows closer, and then… Achilles draws in a quiet breath. His head whips to look at his mentor and finds him staring, shocked, towards the hall. At a centaur. One wrapped in a white chiton (or as close an approximation as a centaur can come) and covered in thick, dappled-brown fur. Another moment of silence, then a clatter as Achilles drops his spear to the floor.

Summary
Haurchefant can’t help the reverent praise that falls from his mouth as naturally as water rushes down a fall, the sentence cut short when Rian steps in close behind him. Their heels are noticeably audible on the ice. A sign that they are being conscious of him. A sign that they are watching him. Skin prickling at the feeling of being watched so, Haurchefant takes a half step back. Adah steps closer, but not into his space, and watches him with the same heavy gaze he gives everything. It is arresting.
