Alec Lightwood is no fan of the limelight, he'll quite happily leave that up to Jace and Isabelle so he can concentrate on his training. All in all it's the perfect arrangement, his mother has spokespeople for The Institute, one of the most highly thought of gymnastic training schools in the country, but she also gets to hide away her gay son. Little does Alec know his life is about to change more than he ever thought possible.

Magnus has always known that he has a weakness when it comes to his best friend Alec Lightwood. it doesn't help, of course, that he's been in love with the man for years despite knowing Alec doesn't feel the same. What he didn't know was how far he'd go to make his best friend smile.
As it turns out there's really not much he won't do for Alec including pretending to be his fake husband for the holidays. It's really not a problem though is it? It's only for a couple of days. Granted the Lightwood family isn't exactly traditional and their house is more of a stately home but seriously, how bad can it get?

UPDATE: The ff is rated M but actually only the last two chapters (chapter 8 and the epilogue) contain explicit stuff.
the rest is not and you can skip chapter 8 and the start of the explicit in the epilogue, since it's not exactly relevant for the whole plot. So if you don't like explicit, just skip those two, and you can still enjoy the story! xx -

Summary
Alec lightwood was an all business body guard with the Shadowhunter Agency. When Magnus starts getting threatening letters and his car is vandalised, he's forced to procure Alec's services, much to both their disgust.
Alec hadn't counted on being so greatly effected by the charismatic Mr Bane and both of them have big secrets that their growing attraction to each other is threatening to make them reveal all. Can they both have what they've always wanted in their lives or will emotions cloud judgement and make them more vulnerable then they ever thought possible.
