So he followed him. Quietly. Carefully. Religiously.
He mapped Peter’s class schedule in his head. Memorized his grocery list. Noted the exact way his fingers scratched behind his ear when he was deep in thought, the way he hummed low and off-key when he didn’t think anyone could hear. Tim knew he liked the rain, that he always paused for it. Knew he hated silence — filled it with podcasts, music, half-spoken thoughts, anything to keep it away.
He didn’t expect Peter to notice. He certainly didn’t expect Peter to turn around one night — high above the city, where the air was thinner and the noise finally died down — and look him dead in the eyes.
“You know,” Peter said, one eyebrow raised, “most people would just ask for my number.”
And just like that, the watcher became the watched.

If someone had asked Jon if being with Damian had changed him, he might have said no. But with each year, he looks back and struggles to recognise the boy he once was. At ten, he met his best friend and partner. Ever since then, he’s been throwing himself forward recklessly in the impossible hope of matching Damian Wayne.
Jon does not know what he is becoming. Shadows drench him and blood becomes a familiar sight on his hands.
Jon can’t say it begins with love or lust or admiration, this thing that exists between them, but by the end of it, Damian Wayne is the lodestone that guides his life. How could it ever have been anyone other than the assassin who entered his life in a whirlwind of passion with blood dripping from his fingers and a certainty that every inch of the world would it be his one day?
