“What kind of Hell did this ship sail out of?” Kayn mumbles under his breath, taking in the vessel's haunting appearance.
There’s a familiar rumbling in the back of his head as his cranial crewmate stirs in interest, apparently intrigued enough by the foreign ship that it has decided to announce its presence.
Whichever Hell it tried to sail into did not let it stay. -

She hears Kayn’s voice but none of the words make sense to her. The fire licks at her bones and her organs and she burns and burns but somehow, she’s still not ashes and Kayn is still here, looking at her. Looking right through her pretty red sundress. He sees all the things she’s been hiding her whole life, all her secrets spilling out of her bleeding heart and onto her carpeted bedroom floor.

Ezreal giggles, an honest-to-gods giggle. It sounds suspiciously indulgent, gives Kayn an unsettling kind of butterflies in his stomach that cause him to shift in the chair, adjusting his legs. He smooths his hands over his shorts, drying oddly sweaty palms.
“Seriously?” he inquires, sarcasm dripping. The look he gives Kayn is sly, smile crooked and toothy. “You underestimate me, Mr. Mysterious Assassin. For I’m the world’s greatest explorer, and I could probably find you even at the ends of the earth.”
