After being partners for 3 years now, Mack can feel his relationship with Will growing apart and he doesn't know how to fix it.
It's written all over Will's face. His eyes shine differently as well. Mack feels that he might die staring at those ice-cold blue eyes, looking back at him frightened.
Mack's got no sleep. All he thinks is Will, but it's like Will doesn't even remember his existence anymore.
Does Will want to drift away? Did Mack do something wrong? He is trying his best to be the best friend Will could have. Maybe that's making everything worse.
Maybe Will doesn't.

Summary
The war between the savages and humans ends with the savages capturing the Jeons, the only family of Welders in their land, which has taken up hunting in order to protect humans.
The savages execute the whole Jeon family, except for their youngest, Jungkook, who sees his parents die with his own twelve year old eyes.
The savages take custody of Jungkook as the only Welder in the land, trying fruitlessly to extract his Welding knowledge essential to all savage species.
Ten years later, a vampire coven applies for Jungkook's custody and gets it. The start is rough, and things keep on getting worse. Along the way the seven of them discover many things they don't understand. The only fact they're sure of is that their rabbit familiar has a weird fixation with the Jeon kid. Oh and that the Jeon kid isn't going to speak to them. Ever.
(This one writer is particularly bad at summaries, they tried to change it but they should accept that they're just bad at summaries).

OT6 are vampires, Jungkook is the son of the big bad hunters, there's so much blood between their species, and they don't like each other at all.

“Oh, hey there!” he said, cheerfully, when he saw Thomas. Who had stopped skating to look at him. “How are you? I’m Wyatt.” He glided over easily and held out his hand.
“Thomas,” Thomas said. “Thomas Harley.”
Wyatt pulled his hand away and Thomas startled, frowning. “Realized maybe I shouldn’t shake your hand since you guys creamed my Leafs last night.”
“Buddy, I have bad news for you, which is any team in the league is going to cream your Leafs the way they’re playing,” Thomas responded. Wyatt grinned, bright and happy, and held his hand out again.
“I was just fooling,” he said.
