Soobin lightly stomped his foot. “You-”
Someone, Taehyun and Kai’s manager, cleared their throat ending this exchange. Kai quickly looked down to avoid being seen as nosy. He waited as Soobin and Taehyun said their goodbyes and didn’t dare look up until he heard the doors slide closed, signalling that Soobin had left.
When Kai straightened his back and glanced at Taehyun, he found the other staring at him. Kai kept his head down until his first break.

Summary
Kai sighed. Despite his discouragement, there were still some villagers who felt unsafe around the forest and set traps for any wild animal. Since Kai had lived there, there’d been a total of three wild animals who had wandered near the outskirts of the town. Kai had dealt with each quickly but some of the villagers still felt it wasn’t enough.
Kai stood. The fox lifted its head at the movement. Kai extends his hand slowly.
“Hi little guy,” Kai whispered. “I can help you out with this.”
A warning growl was all the response Kai received.
Kai bit the inside of his cheek as he thought about what he should do. He had a little bit of magic power left for the day (he’d used up most of it to speed up the weeding process). With the amount he still had, Kai should be able to get the trap open long enough for the animal to get its leg out but only if he managed to get a few steps closer.

“Are you nervous?” Yeonjun asked, looking up at Kai.
“No, Yeonjun-ssi,” The blond shook his head but Yeonjun wasn’t convinced. Poor guy was probably too embarrassed to admit it. Yeonjun wouldn’t push but he decided then and there he decided he would keep the other safe.
“Let me go first in case it’s scary” Yeonjun smiles. “And call me hyung. No need to be so formal.”
“Uhh sure. Go ahead, Yeonjun-ss- um hyung.”
He was such a good hyung. He steps in front of the man, walks toward the open door, and is promptly met with cobweb to the face. Yeonjun jumped back, nearly colliding with Kai. He feels the other take a step back and hold his back to stabilize both of them.

How did Yeonjun end up in a horror escape room when he only intended to be an unwilling chaperone on his best friends first "not date yet because they refuse to talk about it".

Beomgyu didn’t get a chance to answer because Yeonjun was lifting Kai up and dragging him out.
“I will be treating Kai to lunch because if not no one else will.”
“I offered to treat him!” Beomgyu called out but the two of them were already out the door. “Did you see that?”
“That’s just how they are,” Taehyun hummed.
It was true. Yeonjun was special to Kai. It had been the first time in a while since the two were away from each other so it made sense that they were like that.

“What happened? What’s wrong?”
“He’s here. I saw-” Jeonghan interrupted himself looking up to where he had seen the figure. “He was right there.”
“Who?”
Jeonghan didn’t answer just leaving Seungcheol’s arms and rushed again. He reached the rocks where he had seen him. He even got in the water, searching frantically. There was nothing there. He looked back to the beach where Seungcheol was standing.
Seungcheol was trembling slightly, eyes wide and brows furrowed. He was close to the waves but not allowing the water to touch him, stumbling back whenever one wandered too close. Jeonghan felt a pang in his heart. Seungcheol was afraid of the ocean.

After being separated from his pod, Jeonghan has been staying with a kind human Seungcheol. While it's been nice, Jeonghan hopes to be reunited with his family. Seungcheol is all too willing to help him, even at the cost of his anxiety.
