Summary
Astarion is an alpha, posing as an omega for a variety of reasons but currently because all the other people in the camp with a secondary gender are also alphas (Lae'zel being a weirdo alien who only has one gender).
Astarion decides to fake a heat using some potions, to convince one of the alphas that they need to protect him. Everyone knows that alpha hormones riddle you with those protective instincts, and that this happens mostly strongly during a shared heat/rut. This will secure much needed protection for Astarion in the camp dynamics. There is no way this can possibly backfire, because Wyll is definitely an alpha, and also Astarion hasn't had a rut in two hundred years, so why would he start now?

Summary
Cursed to walk the Earth for all eternity for stealing Balerion's bride for himself, Aemond watches as Lucerys is born into his fleeting lives, over and over again - before the one-eyed man's actions send him to the claws of Death, once more.
Much older and much wiser, Aemond finally decides to raise the boy, himself.
“I think that you should never have been my guardian,” the boy spits out.
Not as bad as Aemond had feared. But, Lucerys is not done speaking.
“I think that you are a freak, just as my classmates say that you are. I think that you are a possessive monster, who only wants me for himself and who will shrivel up and die if I so much as glance at any other.”
Aemond must have underestimated Lucerys’s understanding of the world and of him, he realizes too late.
Lucerys kneels, brings himself up, so Aemond would have to look up at him. “And,” he says with a stern whisper. “I think that I should have called social services and told them that you touched me.”
