Summary
Hyunjoon thinks it's funny, really, how casually you meet people who ruin your life. There's no dramatic music, no cutscenes, no blaring alarms.
Sometimes, all it takes is a "hi" from some kid with a mushroom haircut, and everything's fucked.

The elders tell of spirits and ghosts, akana and kanmei who stalk the mists and shadows of the real world, of tales that were real- or just imagined up from a creative child’s memory.
They speak of the Kindred- the two deathbringers, the wolf and the lamb, who dance as happily as any two young scholars. Wangho is nonchalant when he hears spiels spun of such an otherworldly creature- he’s sure that there is no such happy dancing, especially in the world of destruction and rebirth.
They speak of the serpent, her wit and startling beauty renowned across the land, cunning sharp as the blade. She was cast from her position by a cruel sister, and yet the temples still worship her as a goddess.
He can listen to those happily, indeed, with a stick of dango in hand- but his favourite tale is that of the fox.
