Summary
Donald R. Burgett based off the book Currahee! A Screaming Eagle at Normandy, joins Easy Company and the Band of Brothers.
Something I had not expected when I first joined the war effort was that soilders weren't just hungry for blood, guts, and glory. They were also very eager to fuck and enjoy life's simple pleasures when ever they could. Whether it was a beautiful dame or one of their pals they bonded with, didn't matter much. We were already in hell.

Summary
“An’ what was it? Your thought,” Boyd asks, cracking open an iodine swab and painting the wound and surrounding area carefully. If it hurts, Don doesn't give him any indication. He certainly doesn't lose the crooked little smile on his face, a smile which Boyd knows very well means he's up to no good.
“Well. Thanks to you boys, the whole damn platoon is calling me Wardaddy, these days,” he says, in that same drawl. Boyd snorts. This is true enough, although Boyd had nothing to do with it. “What do you figure that makes you, Bible?”

Summary
“You’re real chatty.” Babe mumbled with a boyish smile. Something he’s held onto since before Holland, Roe had no idea how, everyone else had dulled down smiles that didn’t quite meet their eyes.
Roe studied Babe a moment. He was friendly. Happy, as much as one could be here. He was odd. Nice, though. “Yeah, I don’t seem to shut up, huh?” Roe replied dryly.
Babe’s laugh was quiet but genuine, one Roe wasn’t expecting to get from the comment. “So doc does have a sense of humor. Good to know.”

Summary
It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single gentlehobbit in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife. Such, at least, had always been the prevailing sentiment—until the peculiar case of Mr. Bilbo Baggins. The Shire, it must be said, found itself quite at a loss regarding the proper manner in which to regard this odd little fellow. For years, he had the audacity to remain unmarried, leaving himself entirely at the mercy of idle speculations and the wagging tongues of the neighborhood. And as if this state of affairs were not scandalous enough, he had the gall to vanish on an adventure—a word scarcely to be uttered in polite company without a shudder of distaste.

Summary
Bilbo Baggins is not fond of company, and even less so of the company of children. Unfortunately, events conspire to force him into taking in two lost dwarf children with nowhere else to go. Eventually, their parents are bound to come for them, of that Bilbo is sure, and when they do, he'll be able to return to his quiet life.
Little does he know...
