Cuando la guerra termina y los hijos se enfrentan entre si, la paz se establece.
Konoha, Suna, Iwa, Kumo y Kiri son aliados. Akatsuki desapareció. Los Bijū son libres.
Pero todo está mal. Muchos murieron y otros aún morirán por heridas de guerra. Sin el enemigo en común, las naciones volverán a traicionarse en busca de poder, como Suna en los exámenes Chunnin; como Kumo al intentar robar el Byakugan.

Superman snatched his cape from between Lex's fingers and turned around to glare at him. “I knew you're up to something.” He accused.
Lex lifted his hands in frustration. “Oh, for fuck’s sake, must everything that happens within a mile radius of me automatically be my fault?”
“Yes, it usually is your fault.”
“Usually,” Lex emphasized, “is not the same as always. Do try to grasp the difference.”
Superman’s eyes narrowed, searching his face for the telltale twitch of a lie. “I don’t believe you.”
“Of course you don’t,” Lex snapped. “You never do.”
Five times Lex tried to woo Superman, but Superman was convinced Lex was secretly plotting to kill him, and one time he almost did.
