"Am I not allowed to check in on my doggy?" Dazai asks as if affronted, with a hand to the chest.
"Shut up and get to the point. Do we have a mission or something?"
"No," Dazai says, and then sort of trails off and goes quiet, blank. It's not something he is very prone to. His hands are sweaty and he doesn't know why. His arm jumps a little at his side.
"Then what? If you're not gonna talk, I'm gonna -- "
"Does Chuuya know it's my birthday today?"

Chuuya snapped to attention, eyes wide and on alert, and he prepared himself for whatever threat there was.
He did not know what he was expecting, be it an enemy, an attacker, or a kidnapper.
He just definitely was not expecting Dazai.
