This is the fix-it fic for Holby City, S21 Episode 30: Don’t Leave Me, Episode 31: Things My Mother Told Me and Episode 32: When Worlds Collide. Serena doesn't believe Bernie is dead and decides to go to Mogadishu to find her and bring her home. The first three chapters follow canon with my canon mixed in. From chapter four onwards it is all my canon. Bernie Wolfe is not dead to me or this fandom! The story will have its share of angst, hurt and drama. But I promise this Berena fanfic will have a happy ending.

Summary
Bernie is missing in action in Somalia while working with the UN Peacekeeping force. A bomb blast has almost destroyed the hospital she works at, and another blast destroyed part of the nearby international airport. Major Alex Dawson is distraught knowing that Bernie was on duty in the hospital at the time the bomb hit, but no trace of her can be found. Finally, after all the reports have come in, Bernie's commanding officer decides there is only one course of action- to let her family know she has died in the blast.
Meanwhile on the other side of Mogadishu, a mystery patient is being treated in hospital for wounds caused by an IED at the airport. The staff are curious and try to find out who she is but it seems her memory has been affected by the blast.

Summary
This is the fix-it fic for Holby City, S20 Episode 50: "Right Sort of Animal". Chapter one sticks to TV canon and then Berena will be restored to how they were always meant to be, TOGETHER! Bernie will be putting the wheelie bin out in her trainers and pushing Guinevere on a swing she built herself. Domestic Bernie is a real thing! A slow burn with its share of angst, hurt and drama. I promise there will be lots of love and a very happy ending!
