I adore Mayday and I apparently enjoy hurting myself so.....self explanatory.
And the whole concept of switching Mayday's and Crosshair's roles in this is fascinating to me, as well as being just as devastating as the original. Mayday's feeling as though he kept failing people when, in reality, he's doing everything he can to protect them, up to and including clones he barely even or doesn't know.....it got to me,ok?

Just an amazing set of stories set around my favourite episode of TBB, definitely the one that got me into the show in the first place, and one of my absolute favourite clones, Commander Mayday. Plus a cast of wonderfully fleshed out ocs who feel like they could've fitted right into canon, they're so well written, as well as much needed characterisation for Hexx and Veech.

Summary
"After killing Lieutenant Nolan, Crosshair doesn’t expect to wake up on an unfamiliar ship, or for his assessment of Mayday’s vitals to have been so wrong. Meanwhile, Mayday has to come to terms with the knowledge that there is a control chip in his head.
Together, they locate the clone rebellion and undergo surgery to remove their chips. Then, the two are sent to a remote island where they deal with their respective nightmares and learn what making their own decisions looks like."

One indomitable heart, Brothers all.
We, the wrath of Coruscant, Brothers all.
And glory, eternal glory,
We shall bear its weight together.
At first, no one knew what to do with the helmets lined up in the corner of the warehouse. The empty black visors stared at one another in knowing silence as the stormtroopers wordlessly loaded up hoversleds with the crates closest to the exit ramp. Winter’s light sliced through the air in frigid whites and greys, dully glowing off of the polished white chestplates the stormtroopers were all slowly learning the weight of. The distant sun began to move. The light spilled across the duracrete floor, until the abandoned helmets all threw shadows on one another, the ones on the outside almost protecting those on the inside from the accusatory glance of dawn.
What became of the remnants of Commander Mayday and his men on Barton-4.
