She sounds so wistful that Zo wants to give her the entire world, this unwanted child of murderers. Zo tries not to think of what they "deserve". The concept doesn't exist in the cycle of nature, inherently lacking justice as it is. Some seeds are swept away by floods before they get a chance to take root. Some never find the right soil to grow in or enough sunlight.
...But if Zo were a perfect Utaru, content with the rise and fall of nature's melody, she would never have picked up her bow and helped drive the Carja out of her lands.

Summary
Aloy and friends keep getting sidetracked by this foolish idea of creating a new HEPHAESTUS from a lab seed. Sylens thinks it's a wild goose chase at best. Nevertheless, he gets roped into following up on their newest clue with the Quen Diviner, Alva, who at least is competent enough that it should be over as quickly and painlessly as possible.
Things don't go quite as he planned.
