The words tumbled out of Denis’s mouth before he could stop them and he turned beet red, stammering wildly as if that would somehow undo his mistake.
A smile ghosted at the corner of Dr. Robby’s lips and he looked at Dennis like the cat that got the cream. “You say that so nicely Whitaker, have you had a lot of practice?”
His hand was heavy on the back of Dennis’s neck, a familiar gesture that now seemed especially charged. Staff and patients scurried around them, seemingly unaware of Dennis’s plight as Dr. Robby pulled him in even closer.
“Say it again.”
When Whitaker accidentally calls Dr. Robby Sir, he finds himself on the receiving end of Abbot and Robby, who delight in taking him apart piece by piece.

In 1987, Cassiopeia Black receives a shocking letter about a metamorphic child, who may or may not be a Black. From there, House Black has a choice: come together and overcome their differences or fade into obscurity.
This is a slow-burn fic with a lot of politics and POVs from all Blacks (including the usually forgotten ones). This is the perfect fit for those who love the Blacks, extensive world-building, and captivating mystery.

Summary
For Steve, things never went according to plan. He had never thought he’d be graduating in ‘86, the same year as Robin and Nancy, a year after be was supposed to. But he also never planned on letting anyone find out that he’s one of the kids from Hawkins’ Lab, that he’s like Eleven.
But now he’s spending his lunchbreaks with the Hellfire Club and finds himself befriending Eddie “The Freak” Munson. And maybe he also has a tiny crush on Munson, not that he’d ever admit that to anyone.
Hawkins being Hawkins, a year can never be complete without another threat from the Upside Down, and if there was one thing Steve had definitely not planned for, it was Eddie getting dragged into the whole mess alongside the rest them.OR: Steve is Seven and failed his classes causing him to have to repeat his last year of Highschool. He and Eddie become friends and maybe something more but then Vecna attacks and Eddie is pulled into a part of Steve’s life he never wanted him to be a part of.
