In the dark, Kaeya twirls the wine cup a few times before setting it down onto the counter.Diluc's fist was still on the door – firmly shut, and strangely enough, he couldn't open the door by force. He was tempted to use his Pyro vision on it, but it was too risky. It might spread out to the walls, and Diluc didn't want to admit that he needs Kaeya's help on this.
Although, the heat is getting unbearable. Even the idea of stepping outside to get the fresh breeze that comes from Dragonspine is tempting. Unfortunately, he's stuck here with him. Kaeya, of all the people... It wasn't as if he's still holding onto the resentment from the past. It's just...
Awkward.
In which the author wonders what could happen if our favourite owl and peacock were to be locked up in Angel's Share for the night - but to avoid your disappointment, please make use of your delightful imagination. Eheh.

Summary
The whole room went dark. A sudden force of gale whipped against them, forcing them to duck down to avoid the unseen danger. They held onto one another as they heard swift sounds of objects flying away, and out of the basement. When it is finally quiet, they stood back up and found the empty book, with a card the size of their palms inside.
There are no words to describe how beautiful the portrait painted onto its surface is. It depicts an image of a spiritual bird, with its head bowed, looking as if it is showing its respect to someone. Its feathers are coloured gold and teal, the tail similar to a phoenix's. Such imagery was obvious — the two young men had understood the identity of the bird.

A pause stretches between them.
“I see. This would never have happened had I been the one fucking you as I pleased, all along.” Mydei suddenly speaks and Phainon’s jaw nearly drops at the stellar display of wisdom.
“That’s possibly the most insane conjecture I have ever witnessed, Mydeimos.”
“Is it?” Mydei tilts his head, his gaze locked with his; his hands shift and Phainon starts as the silk is suddenly hiked up – “Had it been that way, the bet wouldn’t have been lost…” and steeled fingers slide beneath to glide over bare skin, “and you wouldn’t be walking around in this state – for everyone to see.”
Caelus losing a bet and making it Phainon's problem was one thing.
All of that having the domino effect of Mydei fucking him in the ass for hours was another.

Her voice is as unreadable as ever, so it could mean anything from this is manageable to this is a disaster the likes of which the Flame-Chase Journey will never recover from. As things stand, Mydei is more inclined to believe the latter.
Beside them, Tribbie finally pops up from where she’s been studying their joined hands. “What Snowy said is true!” she proclaims in a voice far too cheerful for their current situation. “He and De are one hundred percent stuck to each other.”
While out on patrol, Mydei and Phainon get hit with a curse that binds their hands together.
