Summary
A recurring nightmare materializes before his eyes.
In most of Bucky's dreams, he is a young man falling from a train and crashing into crisp snow, a heavy thud, then haunting silence. In the rest of those dreams, Sam plummets to earth, wingless, then breaks. He tells himself often that they’re only dreams, that Sam is capable and skilled far beyond any combat-abled civilian he’s ever known. He reminds himself each time Sam’s in a fight that the suit is more than sufficient protection, that every fiber of vibranium absorbs impact and directs it away from Sam. Away. That had been his first and foremost request to Ayo. Always away.
But Sam’s not wearing vibranium today.

It's entirely Sam's fault that Bucky's first thought on realizing he’s been captured by vampires is: well, these guys aren't part of the big three. His second thought is: if vampires have been a thing all this time and no one fucking told me, I'm going to be so pissed. What the fuck else is real? Fairies? Wolfmen? Goddamn Sasquatch??
Bucky gets kidnapped by vampires, or maybe it's a surprise family reunion instead. When Sam comes to the rescue, Bucky has to think fast to keep himself from being turned into a vampire, and to keep Sam safe in a castle full of vampires too.
So naturally he decides that they should pretend to be married. If Sam's family too, and if Bucky and Sam have a beautiful love story, Great Uncle Yakov will have to let them go, safe and unvampired, right?

Summary
In 1867, Tony Stark flees New York after refusing to marry the alpha his parents chose for him. His money runs out in the small kingdom of Dacia, ruled over by King Steven of the Rogers line. Somehow, and he’s not entirely sure how, he ends up accepting the position of nanny to the king’s four children: Harley, Peter, Sarah, and Morgan.
Tony bonds with the children easily but their father is harder to get to know. Steve is still grieving his wife’s death four years earlier. His continued mourning has turned the once bright halls into dark and somber shadows of their former glory. Tony isn’t entirely certain what he can do but he knows that he has to do something or else the whole country, so attuned to their leader, will sink into despair. He begins by reconciling the king with his young children.
Meanwhile, the children have decided that it’s high time their father fall in love again—and Tony is the obvious choice. They concoct elaborate plans to force the two together, hardly realizing that Steve and Tony are falling in love, not through their shenanigans but through the quiet moments they share bonding over the love they have for the children.

After a mission that leaves Bucky covered head to toe in soot and grime, he slumps against a slightly charred tree and says, “You know what we’re gonna do, Steve?”
Steve, bent over and panting, raises his own grime-coated face to look expectantly at Bucky.
“We’re going to pull a Clint and get a fucking farm house in buttfuck nowhere and the most strenuous activity we’ll ever do is you fucking me through a bed.”
On the comms, Natasha laughs, loud and startled. Sam starts singing some nonsense song loudly, his preferred tactic whenever Steve or Bucky—mostly Bucky—gets a little too explicit about what they do together. It’s just the four of them on this. Wanda is off doing something with Vision that she, unlike Bucky, doesn’t get very explicit about. Clint’s on one of his quality family retreats and Pietro is with him, more or less a Barton at this point.
Bucky switches off his comm, but Steve doesn’t bother, apparently too busy staring adoringly at Bucky.
“Yeah?” he says, soft, too soft for where they are, what they are. “Sounds real nice, Buck.”
