Summary
Set between Book 1 and Book 2
Lucifer Morningstar is dead, slain mysteriously in the battle with Heaven.
All of Hell has accepted this as truth.
But not Alastor.
He waits for his king and husband to recover his strength and awaken from his slumber, but the world cannot wait for the fallen king. Alastor will find that he will either move on by his own or circumstances will force him to face his grief.

Summary
Six months after the last events, Lucifer has to come to the conclusion that he cannot wait for Heaven's word on the captured and imprisoned Exorcists. He has to allow for them to be brought to justice for the family of the new Earl Raum.
And yet, nothing is as it seems and Lilith's surprising return has thrown him off balance and has caused the Radio Demon to be confined for all of their safety.
With many plates in the air, the last thing that Lucifer needs is another mystery on his hand, and yet, that's what he has when one of the Exorcists is murdered in her jail cell while awaiting trial. The palace immediately on lockdown, Lucifer has to race against the clock to locate the murderer or face unrest from his people.

Two hundred years have passed since the fall of Lucifer Morningstar. Queen Charlotte reigns her tumultuous realm with a gentle hand with help from her step-father, Grand Duke Alastor. She's happily married to Vaggie with several children. Life could not be better for her though she misses her father.
Grand Duke Alastor is doing fine. Just fine. Everyday is fine. Absolutely fine. Thank you.
But trouble rears it's ugly head and Prince Michael realises that Lucifer's death was no accident and he must make an alliance with the royal family of Hell in order to protect his brother's family.
He absolutely did not intend to be married to his brother's widower.

Summary
I found the room in the facility easily enough. It was one of many. Identical little cells with a bed pushed against one wall and hygiene equipment against the other.
There was no one else being held here. I made sure. Leaving some poor fuck here to die of starvation or run out of power was not something I intended to do. It could hold maybe twenty-five in total, but it honestly looked like it was on its way to being decommissioned.
That was probably why they'd stashed Gurathin here. They didn't think that Preservation Alliance would even know where to look.
Luckily, Preservation Alliance had me.
