My "almost became a doctor" self is very uncomfortable with the doctor/patient relationship (which, although it doesn't formally starts when she's his patient, develops and is based on that time).
My "I just want to read a good story" self loves this, though. Great use of the "Bellatrix haunting Hermione" idea, it's really well executed. I like that the solution isn't a big, dramatic ritual or whatever, it works really well. Great worldbuilding, too, around that.
