Summary
Hiding under the bed was a tiny hedgehog that looked just like him.It had dark blue fur, with little, purple highlights around the quills at the top that curled every which way at the ends, almost like ringlets on a baby. Red eyes stared back at him, a small ring of green surrounding the constricting pupils, like an emerald hidden in sand, and the pup was shaking, hands grasping the little tuft of white fur at the front of its chest. A small whimper filtered out of its throat and Sonic felt himself tear up at the sight.
Sonic had been having strange dreams about a base in Russia and decides to drag his brothers on a mission. Inside, he finds more than he ever would've thought possible

“I’m fucking fine!” Felix snapped, popping up like some cartoon character. Christine glanced up at him, mostly just to take in his audacity, but wound up taking in his appearance.
… and her glass slipped.
In retrospect, she wished it crashed. It would’ve been less awkward than it rolling and spilling out in front of her, as she made no move to wipe it. Nope. Not Christine, apparently. Instead just, oh, you know. Just staring at this guy.
Danny’s head turned, as did Ron’s. Felix wasn’t paying attention as Danny grabbed a cloth to wipe it. Distantly Christine heard him saying something to Ron.
Felix was locked onto Christine.
She held his gaze for a moment. She wasn’t sure why, but after a second she snapped out of it.

He passed over the hill where the ruined bridge now spanned in front of him. He looked back anxiously, checking to make sure nobody— vampiric or otherwise— was following him or able to see what he was doing. After confirming that he was presumably alone (unless, of course, someone was watching him invisibly from the shadows), he began slowly making his way across the bridge, carefully crossing the paths laid by humans to span the massive gaps and holes while doing his best not to look down. Once he arrived at the front door, he took the note he had written addressed to Scott out of his pocket.

Summary
Avid’s throat felt raw from screaming, though he hadn’t been, not anymore, at least. His heart still felt as if it was home to a wooden stake. He felt the aching hunger, body still thinking he was dead, still thinking he needed to be healed.
But he didn’t.
Because he was alive. Avid was alive and he didn’t know how. He knew he was still a vampire, he could feel it in his very being, could feel the desperate hunger as if he’d never been satiated by a single drop of blood. But he was just outside of Oakhurst. An Oakhurst that was empty.
Empty and as though no one had ever stood foot in there, no sign of the people that had come to Oakhurst at the same moment as Avid.
