Cedric? Dead. Dumbledore? Where is he? Ron and Hermione? Off being prefects. Sirius? Hidden away at Grimmauld. Talking to Cho? Utterly impossible.
Harry's life was getting more and more complicated and he was starting to think that life was a little too fond of drenching him in (metaphorical and literal) stinksap.
He didn't think, however, that anything with or about Neville Longbottom would change, but as the stinksap was vanished off his glasses, he began to see his uncoordinated and forgetful friend (and himself) in a new light.
