A slow life away from bothersome people. It was exactly what he’d asked for, yet he could not find himself abiding by it. In such a colorful world teeming with magic and energy, there was no shortage of tasks to complete for Ryo’s peaceful isolated comfort in the Rondo Forest. He was fascinated everyday, such as one might be in a forest of mysteries with curious water magic licking at their fingertips.

Law froze.
Eyes had been fixed on the spot, like he'd followed the knock of Law’s heel around the store, tallied the distance, and loitered in wait. A smile flashed, pricked a dimple into one cheek; he was young and uncanny, with a straight nose and eyes without pupils—black, solid, high off pills sturdier than his body. A magazine sat open in bandaged hands, Hancock and a pair of crossed white thighs on the cover.
He chewed his gum with bare teeth, popped it.
Like a cracked knuckle.
(or: law isn't worth divine intervention, even when it came, but luffy's never waited on permission, divine or otherwise.)
