Summary
Marriage is never supposed to be an easy-going experience. While it will always have its ups and downs, married couple Alfred and Ivan are towards their breaking point. Toxic fights, jealously, and almost impenetrable emotional walls, there's no doubt that something has to change. With threats of divorce in the air, the pair seek help to save a relationship that they desperately don't want to end. However, working on themselves proves to be easier said than done, as old wounds and traumas make it challenging for them both to evolve. Ivan's past unhealthy relationships and scarring childhood clashes with Alfred's paranoia and controlling behavior due to the tragic death of his past wife. The question remains: will they learn to love each other healthily and get past their problems or will their differences end them up in a courtroom?

“you really think i won’t kill you!?” alfred’s voice has risen to match the temperamental man. it’s sharp and biting. the fire behind his voice is only matched by the warmth of every exhale when he speaks. a wide smile stretches across ivan’s face.
“will you?” he asks, and alfred falters again. it’s uncharacteristic of him. the way he shutters into himself, recessing as if to seek answers in a place ivan doesn’t know, contrasted by the firm and self-assured grip he has on the gun - “will you?”
the blood coats the back of his tongue whenever he speaks. he runs his bloodied tongue over his teeth, lingering at his canines. alfred wavers as ivan leans in, the tips of their noses touching. if he looks past the glare of his lenses, alfred’s eyes seems to soften. eye to eye, ivan lolls his head to the side.
he spits onto his shoe.
