Krieg huffed loudly, his breath forming a large cloud in the cold air in front of him, and held his thick arms over his chest. Snow crunched beneath his boots as he trudged along the dock, away from his ship. He could make out a town in the near distance as he squinted, and could smell something sweet in the air, possibly cinnamon. Whatever it was, it made his top lip twitch into a sneer.
'It's cold as balls here,' he said, an intellectual and astute observation.

In the wake of the absolute WALLOPING they received at the Baratie, Gin reflects on how the crew can lift themselves up and strengthen themselves to continue, when clearly they've got a lot of growing to do first before a second attempt on the Line can be made.
Realizing most of the issues fall on Krieg's shoulders as leader, as his de facto second, Gin takes a few days to clear his head and delve into the rubble hands first. He also learns to cook.

OKAY! Don't freak out.
This is an off shoot of Wax Bottles that I couldn't put in the main fic because it has almost nothing to do with Peros or 3.
Anyway, this is a fic that centers around Foxy and Croc being exes, and all the shenanigans and surprisingly angst that entails. This is also a direct sequel to A Fox's Reflection but is not required reading for this one.
There might be sex scenes in here at some point, as usual I will tag those chapters and I'll bump the overall rating up.
I don't know what y'all expect me to put here, just know that I warned you. This is about as serious as I think the general premiss could be, so take that as you will.

I spent too long trying to think of a clever title. I failed, and went for simple. Anyway, hello again. This is literally just what would happen if Foxy fumbled his way to Wholecake Island with the added bonus of also trying to romance Brulee.
It's going to be...something.
Lots of comedy, lots of berating Foxy specifically, and the occasional bit of Oven slander.
Oh and this is set post-timeskip and relatively inline with canon. I’m taking a couple liberties with it and also I think this is big enough that I will forget a couple things. Also, I just assume that Kaido and Big Mom are fine in this (This might matter later). So, minor spoilers for anime only people.

Summary
After disobeying orders by killing multiple crewmates in the Kriegs fleet, the marines worry that Dracule Mihawk will turn on them sooner rather than later, so they give Dracule Mihawk an ultimatum. Either he give up the location of Shanks's base island in the event of war or he take on Don Krieg as a servant in his castle to rehabilitate him as a key participant in the World Government's ploy to end the dichotomy of the pirates' system of power. Mihawk isn't a fan of either option... and neither is Don Krieg.
