They come together again.
22 months to the end of the world.
a.k.a. the one where Aziraphale returns and asks Crowley for his help to ward up Earth against Heaven and Hell. Secrets would be revealed, feelings would be hurt and two entities in love since the beginning of time will have a hard time expressing it.
Excerpt:-
Aziraphale stood facing East on the deck of their ship, early enough to be sunrise in a few moments. The wind was howling loudly around him and the chill had already made its way to his bones, but he had to see this. This ritual he has been following for the past year, just waiting and waiting. Some kind of joke, the Angel of the Eastern gate, searching for the last sunrise. What is he after that ?
They have a plan, a hastily put together last hope kind of plan which he could only pray works, they didn’t really check if it does, but it’s this or nothing. Less than a year to the end and he would give everything he has to prevent it. And if he is damned for it then so be it.

Aziraphale hushed him, "We're in the middle of the cafe Crowley, If you pull down your pants I'm leaving !!"
"I-" He gave up, leaning back and rolling his eyes. "Whatever, do what you want. I don't care."
"Don't be a spoilsport dear, your turn."
"Alright, yeah. I'm moving in with you at the bookshop." He promptly wrote it down on his notes app, deleting the previous point.
"What !?"
“Huh ? Right, I forgot to tell you. I got kicked out of my apartment." He smiled, all teeth on display as Aziraphale stared at him in horror.

Summary
Aziraphale has survived the final War, or to put it in better perspective, Aziraphale is the only one who has survived it.
Now, thrown into an alternate reality with no memories from his life before and the ability to travel in time, he is doing what any sane (sane-ish) angel would do. Have some fun. Until he runs into a certain demon who knows a lot more about him than he shows and is reluctant to tell.

But Aziraphale doesn't smell holy anymore. He smells of caramel and lemon pies, an undertone of mild spices. He smelled like old books and vintage cologne for a long time, but Crowley soon came to realize that that was the smell of the bookshop. To actually distinguish the two smells, one has to be sitting really close to the angel. Which as of right now, Sunday, a quarter past four p.m., was not close enough.
They were on the opposite side of the only couch in the bookshop, with Crowley sprawling on the left side, scrolling a teen magazine the angel must’ve subscribed to in the early twenties and subsequently forgot about. Aziraphale has migrated from his desk with some decade old book he claimed was a ‘comfort read’, whatever that may be. And it really should not have struck as a surprise when Aziraphale laid his hand on top of Crowley’s. It should not have shook him to the core because they have been holding hands for weeks now, slowly inching closer everyday, but Crowley has always been simmering in the wanting of things, that finally having them leaves him breathless. And God knew he was not good at letting go of things once he had them, so for a long time, he made sure he never had Aziraphale.
