The Twitter Algorithm sent me a tweet to the effect that Astrid the Celestial of the Star Scraper and Nyx the Lovable Rogue should be playing tonsil hockey together. So I wrote it. Oh. Wait, you wanted Nyx to be Astrid's girlfriend? Who doesn't steal everything she can get her grubby mitts on? Oh. Sorry.
Nyx, on a very unrewarding job over the Frozen Sea, finds herself in need of shelter and lands in the Star Scraper, where she catches the blindfolded eye of one of the Celestial Ones. Is it really wise to invite one like Nyx into your home?

Summary
This is one of my traditional posts where I have your people (in this case Rayla and other Dragon Prince characters), meet my people (My OG OCs Bannog and Ariciel) for no other reason than it is fun to bounce them off each other.
We meet the Azeroth Human Bannog and his Night-Elven Love Ariciel in the pleasant woods of East Xadia, where they and their friends and family have been dropped by an incompetent portal mage. After some initial misgivings, Bannog and Ariciel become friends with Rayla who has been searching for Viren and co for almost two years, and Smitty Selena and Naegling become friends with Viren, Claudia and Terry. They need to find each other, and then find a way home to Redridge in Azeroth.
I know I'm taking a few liberties with the timeline, but I'm doing this only once and I was not going to leave out Sir Sparklepuff, now was I? This is also the place where Rayla meets her Cuddlemonkey Stella and much cuteness ensues.
The title illustration was done by the unreasonably talented NumptyPylon, also on this website.

Summary
Two years after the Battle of the Storm Spire, Xadia and Humanity have been able to live in relative peace and harmony. Azymondias has taken on the role of King of the Dragons and, together with Ezran, Callum, and Rayla, has been helping relations improve between the two halves of the continent. It seems that the world is headed for a bright future. However, no change is without opposition, and trouble begins to brew when a certain Sun Dragon starts to take action against the growing unity.

If he was really considering taking a break from school to figure things out, Callum would certainly rather do it here than back home with all the pressure and expectations.
It was... all without making a single conscious decision, it felt, that he had gotten here. But here he was, asking for ‘Rayla’, his maybe-future-housemate, if… he actually went through with this extended fugue state he was experiencing and if she would have him of course and… it was nuts but… here he was.
