The quirkless couldn’t be heroes, they said—useless, unevolved, and fragile. They wouldn’t be able to stop villains—they would just be liabilities to real heroes.
Izuku asked the right person if that was true.

Justice barked out a laugh, and Izuku’s heart dropped, his eyes stinging and his last flicker of hope shattering, before—“The hell do you mean, punk? What’s a quirk got to do with it?”
She bared her sharp teeth in a fierce grin, something burning behind her gaze that said she knew exactly what he meant.
“You got guts? Passion? Maybe a big ass sword? That’s all you need. And if anyone says anything different, you tell them ‘fuck you,’ and keep going. When the deck’s stacked against you, you light that deck on fire.”

It'd been a while since anyone had heard from the human, so he called to check on them. But when a conversation revealed just how young they were, he realized things had to change. They were all on their own down here. And... They had nowhere to go.
Well! If there was no one else to take care of the baby bones, Papyrus would just have to do it himself!

Sans was trying to get through life and ignore the apathy that had settled over him for Papyrus’s sake. It was just so hard to care about anything when he knew none of it mattered. But when Papyrus had him bring the anomaly home like a lost puppy, things stopped adding up.
How could such a sweet kid be responsible for the relentless time loops?

Frisk was used to being on their own, and they were pretty good at taking care of themself. But—Well. ...Dying hurt. They just wanted to get back to the surface! With Undyne in the way, they were hopeless.
So when a phone call from Papyrus somehow ended with an offer for them to crash at his house, Frisk could only be relieved for the break.
They could afford to rest for a while, right?

Summary
A series of oneshots about Underfell Papyrus and Frisk's lives together - featuring Dad Papyrus. I tend to write these out of order and then re-sort them into chronological order in the series. I suggest either starting with the prequel "How to be Kind" or the actual fic that started all the shenanigans "How to Defeat a Human," however, all the pieces can be read as a standalone!
The series is largely fluff and found family, but we've got some angst and hurt/comfort sprinkled throughout! And the prequel is a much darker tone than the other fics.

"I'm calling in for a ransom!" Oh what the fuck was that. There was some kind of elaborate contraption behind the now kidnapper and- Frisk! They were standing on...? Those stuffs????? Wait, focus.
"Now! Come fast! Hmm... maybe in an hour, or... Frisk is going to get submerged into this vat of acid!" "What?????" That's what that was???? He looked through the phone again, and the contraption now had a 60 minutes timer and he could now see the green bubbling liquid below Frisk while the platform they're on was slowly lowering down.
