Summary
Most of the books in the library were about keeping peace, scary stories of what's beyond the river, and the common religion of the area, but Scar knew of the better books that lay near the back corners of the bookshelves, hidden in the shadows.
They told stories of mystical creatures, and Scar's favorite one of all had to be about the fae.
There were not a lot of books on fae, and Scar found himself rereading them often.
The beautiful, cunning and honest creatures took up most of his thoughts during the day, and his dreams were filled with only what he could hope the otherside looked like.
And thats what got him into this mess.
(Or: Baby scar finds himself going into the woods to find a faerie ring, and finds a lot more.)

Summary
When Tommy was four he was found for the first time and subsequently hidden by a still skittish Grian who'd just joined for Season 6 of Hermitcraft. He didn't stay hidden for long. Xisuma's first step in gaining Grian's trust was letting him keep Tommy. So Tommy stayed and he aged and he grew up under the watchful eyes of all of the Hermits. He was Grian's, but Hermits were family, so he was everyone else's responsibility too.
When Tommy was ten, Season 8 started, and his world began to shatter. He'd survived two server jumps before this. It shouldn't have been any different, but something went wrong. Tommy was lost. Unable to return to the place he considered his true home.
When Tommy is seventeen, he finally gets to go home. Like all things Tommy, trouble follows him. Unlike the fair weather family and friends he'd experienced in the past, the Hermits weren't so willing to give up on him just because a little bit of trouble. They just needed a little time to remind him of that.

Summary
In the long list of rules that Dream gave him, there were four that stuck out as the most important. Four rules that he could never break.
Stick close to the island when swimming. Always be back before seven. Never complain or hesitate to give Dream his pelt. And never, ever interact with humans.
Tommy didn’t break any of those rules often, and if he did it was a one time thing, a mistake. But this wasn’t a mistake. This was a very deliberate, very stupid move on his part and Dream would kill him if he knew what Tommy was doing. Fifteen years Tommy had lived here, and never once had he intentionally broken one of Dream’s rules. Until now.
He swims closer to the three humans.

Tommy's a selkie living isolated on an island with Dream as his caretaker. Wilbur, Techno, and Phil are the new lighthouse keepers next door. Surely there's no way for this to go wrong.
