Summary
“Everyone this is Rio, she is joining us a little late in the year but please make her feel welcome.”
Her teacher had said it gently, the room quietening as they gawked at the new girl. Someone whispered something mean and Agatha watched in awe as Rio bared her teeth and hissed at them as she walked by, the boy almost fell out of his seat in fear. Agatha had giggled and when Rio looked at her she beamed and patted the seat next to her.
“Hi, I’m Agatha.”

Summary
The point is, Agatha Harkness hated Rio Vidal. And they would never be partners again. Period.
Which made it all the more infuriating that she was currently standing in Chief Jones’ office with Rio positioned irritatingly close to her side. He sat behind his ridiculously large mahogany desk, trying very hard to look authoritative. The smoothie stain on his shirt didn’t help with his endeavor.
“Can you tell us why you had to call both of us in?” Agatha asked. The disdain came through easily. Good.
“Hibernation’s over,” the chief said, reaching for two manila folders and sliding them across the wood. “I have a case for you. Both of you.”
Agatha flipped one open, skimmed the briefly and immediately shut the folder. She tossed it back onto the desk, papers scattered out, spilling across the surface.
“No,” she said flatly.
