He opened the door without any theatrics, no slow creak open or dramatic swing wide, he simply opened it like he was an old friend visiting a familiar face.
And- Hold up, that is a familiar face.
The soon-to-be-dead man was sitting on the edge of his bed, eyes shut as he slowly sipped at his cup of tea. He opened his eyes lazily, half-lidded gaze settling on Clown’s face in a way that made him feel as if he had been drenched in freezing cold water.

Summary
Clown isn’t scared of the other life members, why would he be? After all they all got themselves trapped in this demonic immortality game, meanwhile he was quite literally in charge of it, and there for his own entertainment.
Also he couldn’t help but feel like the others were a bit lacking in the intelligence department. He wasn’t telling people who he was but he certainly wasn’t hiding it. His own servants hadn’t figured out they were attempting to play death games with their master.
But new victims had just been brought into the game, maybe they would be more interesting.
Aka: Clown falls on his face for Branzy and takes comically long to realize.

Summary
When Clown got Branzy up early that morning so the two could get a head start on their plans for the day, he wasn't expecting Branzy to take him to a place that was apparently so secret only Branzy himself knew about it. He was excited, of course, for Branzy to trust him enough to lead him to his workshop, to the place where he kept all the schematics and plans he had ever worked on-
Clown just never fully realized how different their definitions of "trust" was until now.

Summary
Scott has been drafted to fight in the war between the red and blue kingdoms, forced to leave his father in barrowhill to work as a mage for blue kingdom or risk actions being taken against his father and himself.
He doesn’t truly understand why the two kingdoms are at war or seem to hate eachother, despite being a mage for the blue kingdom (though he doesn’t see himself as much of a good one) the red kingdom members have been very kind to him.
But ever since he had mentioned to Princess Cherri that he was forced to join blue kingdom and the war, neither kingdom seem very willing to let him leave their walls.
How odd.
(Title is from the song “the fool” by Alexandria, which I listened to while writing the first chapter!)
