    Summary

Kip loves Scott, so he's willing to join him wherever he's needed, whether that's at games or social events or - god forbid - MLH-mandated youth hockey initiatives.

Even if Ilya Rozanov is there.

OR: Kip and Ilya meet after the on-ice kiss. An unlikely friendship ensues, along with an even more unlikely double date.

OR: Scott Hunter thinks Rozanov might have found a new and unusual method of torture: making friends with his boyfriend. That alone is bad enough, but when Rozanov shows up at his door with Shane Hollander in tow, Scott is left to reckon with the frankly unfathomable fact of their secret decade-long relationship.

He still thinks he's too lazy to be a serial killer, but perhaps a single premeditated murder isn't off the table.

    Summary

And then there was John. Dr John Shen, who at first glance looked to be entirely too nonchalant to work in the ER. Dr John Shen, who always carried around an iced coffee from Dunkin’, who was calm and relaxed in the most extreme situations, who soothed patients’ worries with only his words, and who was unfairly handsome. He had introduced himself to Dennis on his first day of night shift with a honeyed voice, a small smile on his face and the reassurance that it really was okay to call him John, not Dr Shen. ‘None of that formality nonsense, we are all equals here in the Pitt.’ And that was that.

    ***

Dr Dennis Whitaker had been on night shift for two weeks, and the crush he harboured for his attending was only getting worse. How was he going to make it through the next few months of his mandatory night shift rotation? And why was Dr Shen lingering ever closer to Dennis, finding every excuse to be by the younger man's side?

Luckily, John had his bisexual crisis back in med school, so he doesn’t have to spend this trip thinking too hard about how hot the Abbot siblings are. Except for the fact that he is going to have to slot Dr. Abbot’s hotness back into a world where the guy was his boss.

His boss, who is sitting next to a pool with his shirt off. His boss, with his wide freckled shoulders that are currently being caressed by waves of light from the pool bouncing up on him.

    Summary

“I just wanted to make sure that you were okay.” Jack said softly as he puts down the iced coffee in front of John, in his exact order.

“I, um, thanks, Abbot. I, I needed that.” John said with a smile and blush on his face. Not noticing that Jack’s ears were also bright red at the interaction.

Night shifts were ones that most staff avoided. Other than it fucks up their sleep schedules, it had some weird cases and way less staff so most people avoided it to attempt to still have a functioning life like the rest of society.

John Shen and Jack Abbot were the opposite of majority. They find the night shifts comforting, especially in the presence of each other.
