Summary
The first ff is the original I wrote in one sitting. The second is a remake of the first one as a challenge to write more dynamic scenes and longer chapters. It is a series to keep them together and there is no need to read both of them to understand the other.
Main point: retelling of RE7 and RE8 with Ethan as Miranda´s husband and then Father with a slight dive into different kind of relationships (not only romantic). Not to be taken too seriously.

After years pass after the incident in Eastern Europe, Chris and Leon are doing their best with their little family after they adopt Rose. Chris is always the one who interfaces with Rose’s school because he knows Leon doesn't want to interact with people and he's good at it. However, an urgent mission pulls him away during an important time during the school year. This leaves his fiancé to handle it, but problems arise when the school and the parents involved are expecting a future Mrs. Redfield, not Mr.

After the third declined call, he had given up on Claire. Chris scrolled through the rest of his contacts and wracked his brains for who, besides Claire, could possibly be both responsible and trustworthy enough to handle caring for an infant who may or may not be bio-weapon. The list of names was short. A select few who remained after everything. The ones who had seen it all. He had called all but one. Claire was unavailable, Jill on a mission, and Sherry unreachable (probably also due to responsibilities), one name was left … Leon. It wasn’t so much that Chris didn’t want to call Leon, it would just be easier if he didn’t have to. With a sigh he pressed the call button, the desperation of the moment overriding his avoidance.

Chris has to go on a mission while also responsible for Rosemary's care and Leon is the only available to take care of her.
