Summary
Harry is the god of the red thread of fate, and Tom is a mortal that can see the strings (and consequently Harry's meddling). He's not happy with who Harry chooses for him.
Tom’s eyes darted towards Harry’s hands, watching those nimble fingers, and he was suddenly struck by the fact that they were, for a brief moment, tied to each other. It was not Tom and some random, detestable human, but this being that was above them all. And in a way, he was elevating Tom too. But then Harry tugged the string into the air, breaking the illusion, and Tom watched as it flew into the wind once more, seeking out what he assumed was his next so-called soulmate.
