Summary
The original idea behind "A Blood Gods sacrifice" that I wrote in my last year of high school for a creative writing assignment. I like the way it turned out I just never went back to it and instead decided to rewrite the whole thing. This version is nowhere near as explored or fleshed out as the story I am writing (very very VERY slowly ;-;). In the end this is just the base idea I leaped off of to get to the longer story.

Summary
In a world where the gods can choose to bless family lines or just a single person, a family has been trying to gain the blessings of the gods for years, not knowing they are doing nothing but angering them.
Tommy has been locked away from the rest of his family for years, taking the scorn and abuse but never giving up his love for them. When he is used as a sacrifice in a ritual no one was expecting the outcome that came to pass.

"Do you know what the doctor’s response was?” The elder vampire stopped directly in front of Pyro, the light behind him casting a shadow across Scott’s face, his red eyes almost looked like they were glowing in the darkness…actually Pyro was pretty sure they were.
“No- No idea, Sire!” He tried to give a smile, attempting to hide his fear, “I’m sure it wasn’t anything worth listening to-”
“He said,” Scott cut them off, taking a step forward, “That you had come into town the other day, asking about said cure.”
“Sire, I can explain-”

Summary
He'd just started thinking about how to escape when the sound of flapping wings drew his attention. Abolish prepared himself, grabbing for his stake. His heart sank when he realized it had been shattered to smithereens in the fall and wouldn't be effective anymore.
A bluish-grey bat swooped overhead, and Abolish's eyes widened when its entire right side slammed into the silver. A loud shriek pierced his ears as the little thing tumbled down into the pit, bringing with it the faint scent of burning fur.
Abolish hesitated. On one hand... that was a thousand percent Scott. There was not chance in the world this bat wasn't the elder vampire. But... the hunter bit his lip to keep from crying out as he leaned forward and picked it up in one hand.
Or:
Abolish fell into the Crypt pit trap and due to some infuriatingly placed silver, Scott does too (but in bat form bc that’s cute).

Summary
What if there had been a choice? What if the world- or at the very least, a certain vampire- had been a little bit kinder? No massacres, no beacons, no cursed slumber. How would our story change, and what would remain inevitably the same?

Basically a Pyro centric fic where I make Scott significantly less evil (mostly because I wanted to explore the logistics and world building of ethical vampirism), but don’t worry- he still gets to be scary sometimes as a treat. He’s been allowed to develop and grow a lot more as a person in the last 600 years, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t still skeletons in his closet. After all, there must be a reason he decided to change for the better.
