Summary
Danny just appeared, 7 inches of gnarled clumsy stitching carving a flight path from jaw to temple, redder and more inflamed after his face spent the night bartering with the first ugly steps of healing. And he expected… something.
An accusation, really. A leading interrogation. Because Phantom’s face-gouge had been plastered in HD across the town’s televisions, a turkey slice to match his own ghastly face wound. And his absences and his oddities and his ghost-hunting parents and name and appearance all all all had to finally add up to someone. Everyone.
---
Danny is tired of fighting the inevitable. His secret won't last forever. His lies only build a fiction more gnarled and more mangled the longer he keeps it up. He's had enough. He's ready to get this over with.
After a very public fight against Skulker, Danny shows up to school with the exact injury that has been broadcast to every television in Amity Park. If he makes no effort to hide anymore, someone will figure it out. Surely, someone will finally break open the secret that's been dominating Danny's life.
Nothing goes the way Danny expects.

Summary
Capturing Phantom had been easy. Keeping him contained in the GIW facility has been even easier. And the ease of it all doesn't sit right with Maddie Fenton. Nothing about her ghost-boy prisoner makes sense - her prisoner who, by all accounts, was destroyed 6 months ago. Maddie wants answers for why Phantom won't escape, and more specifically, why he won't return to the family he keeps claiming to have.

Summary
“I have to tell them, right…? That it’s me…?” Danny, stitched back together to the best of Vlad’s ability, kept alive with the entanglement of machines Vlad had once used to incubate Danny’s clones. He could only speak when the machine breathed for him. A rasp instead of a voice. Eyes too dry to cry, dehydrated and spent from all the screaming and sobbing Vlad had not been around to witness, and could only imagine. “I can’t hide this. They’re gonna know…”
---------
Maddie has come to beg Vlad for a favor. Over a lunch date, Jack excluded. Vlad accepts with the confidence that he knows precisely what she wants to talk about. (He was more involved than she could ever know, after all.) But Vlad's expectations fall apart as he learns what exactly Maddie has come to ask.Bookmarked by GabiC

Summary
The living Danny—maybe playing along, or maybe responding genuinely—raised both hands in a show of harmlessness. Like Lancer truly had him at gunpoint.
Danny Fenton’s wet cold dead body was so heavy in Lancer’s single cradling arm.
“Who are you?” Lancer asked very simply.
And Danny, arms still raised high, let out a sigh deep enough to deflate his shoulders. Whatever light was in his eyes went dull, resigned to an acceptance Lancer could not in the moment understand.
“I am your worst student,” Danny answered. And he lowered one arm exclusively to point. “And THAT is the dead body of my ghost clone.”
-------
Alone on the farthest outskirts of Amity Park, Danny Fenton and Edward Lancer bury the dead body of Danny's clone. It is long and tedious work, and Danny can't dodge Lancer's questions forever. Surely it's only fair of Lancer to demand to know what he has been pulled into. Surely Danny could use someone on his side, now that his evenings are spent burying his clones.
