Summary
One night as he’s out in Gotham, stalking the rooftops and prowling through the alleyways, handing out money and food to the homeless, one of the brave street kids asks. “What’s your name?”
He hesitates so long that the kid finally says. “You don’t have to tell me, I was just curious.”
“Alvin.” It slips out of his mouth before he can think too hard about it. “My name is Alvin.”
He’s not certain why he says it, perhaps the name Alvin was on his mind after Spencer saw the movie with the chipmunks, odd since Simon was his favorite character.
But whatever the reason, it’s freeing. Not having to put himself in the box that is Spencer or Tim, Alvin can be him, all of him.
Or, Tim and Spencer is one person living in two universes

Post-Season 3
Steve and Robin haven’t left his house for two weeks except to get more food and let Robin’s parents know she’s still alive. The kids have come by a few times, but it’s mostly just been the two of them living in each other’s pockets for fourteen days.
Robin goes digging through some of Steve's things and finds something a bit unexpected.

He missed her.
God, this is worse than a break up. He would have laughed at himself if he wasn’t so fucking sad.
It was like Robin had taken half his soul with him when she’d stormed out of their apartment two Saturdays ago. Like she’d packed her duffle, snagged her jacket off of the counter, and ripped his arms off on her way out the door. He didn’t feel like a whole person anymore.
One of their coworkers at the coffee shop had called them ‘unhealthily codependent’ once. Steve thought he understood what they’d meant now.
