“I feel as though I am being pushed to prove myself.” Hannibal murmured, eyebrows cocked up as he took a sip of his own wine, glass much fuller then Will’s, eyes locked with the other man's as he did, silently begging to be put to the test.

Will woke slowly, his body lax and the mattress warm beneath his stomach. Something unknown gently pulled him from unconsciousness. He let out a breath, hugging his pillow closer under his chin, ready to open his eyes. But then his brain supplied him with the cause of his interrupted sleep.
A noise.

Will jolted to full awareness, eyes blinking open in surprise.
