There were these old tales that Tighnari would talk about- most of them being passed down from his parents. Stories of the Valuka Shauna, the ancient race that had connections to the Dendro archon and all the old gods of Sumeru. Stories of Tighnari’s people.
“The Valuka Shauna are said to have special powers that go beyond being able to control the elements of the world like vision bearers. Due to their special connections to Irminsul, it’s said that they can control parts of the environment to their own will. It’s said that’s how many of the ancestors made their homes at first.”
“Aren’t you a Valuka Shauna master Tighnari? Can you also do that?”
“I am but those are just tales. If those powers ever did exist they’ve long since been gone. It’s not like I would use them anyway, I like the forest just how it is.”

Summary
Two weeks after the battle of the hotel, Charlie and the others are still reeling from their losses and changes. Alastor hasn’t returned, Pentious is gone, and there’s a whole new hotel to set up as they prepare for new Sinners in the program. And to make matters even stranger, an unexpected person shows up at the hotel doors asking for sanctuary: Lilith, Queen of Hell, missing for seven years.
Charlie is more than happy to give her mom a place to stay and hide after hearing the story of her kidnapping. But Lilith has other objectives in mind, and Charlie finds herself shoved into an empty pocket world made of literal nothingness for her own protection.
Well, nearly empty. At least she knows where Alastor is, now.

Peter looks to the side and watches two robots destroy another building. There is a large hole that makes the apartment unsteady at its base.
“Don’t you think that’s a little dramatic?”
“Fine, we’ll compromise. Find me if there are any bad injuries. FRIDAY will report your vitals so I’ll know if you’re avoiding me. Make this easier for the both of us.”
There’s a loud crash that follows with screams of terror. He hears a child crying a few blocks away.
