Summary
Being Spider-Man meant caring—it was instinctive, natural. At least, that’s what you believed. You never questioned the small gestures: the extra coffee left in his office, the late-night meals shared after long shifts, the way you stayed just a little longer when Miguel O’Hara needed company. But caring had its limits, and when you let Miles Morales go home—when you defied the canon—you crossed Miguel’s line.
Now, exiled from the Spider Society, you’re back in your own dimension, trying to piece together a life that no longer fits. There are no more anomaly hunts, no more reports, no more quiet nights sharing leftovers with Miguel. The weight of routine feels empty without him, but more than that, a question gnaws at you: What has he done?
As you struggle to move on, doubt lingers. Was Miguel right? Was the cost of saving one person too great? Or have you just lost faith in the man you once believed still had a heart?
Because if he was wrong—if the canon isn’t absolute—then you have a choice.
