    Summary

So, it didn’t start out like this.

Alfred would scoff at the statement, about how Bruce was trying to justify the whole situation to himself. It had started out as a simple design, black everything with black outlines and black hood. It got a little more intense as the world went on, got wind of his ghost on the streets, and became scared of The Bat . So Bruce got a little more creative with it, Alfred and him had a good laugh over the name, the scare, and Alfred had a vicious streak of humor that he had passed onto his ward-

So now the suit had a visible bat-theme, an insignia to drape in the shadows and to paint across the streets of Gotham.

It only took a year into the whole charade of heroism for Bruce to overhear a conversation between some goons- some low level thug hired by the Riddler this week- about nothing at all pertaining to what the hell the Riddler was doing in the sewers but instead:

“ The Batman can fly, you know, I’ve seen his wings.”

    --

A world where nobody has wings, but people think they do, and that changes everything.

    Summary

Bruce’s brain takes a moment to reboot. “Your parents are in South America?”

    “Yes.”

He’s not sure why he’s so surprised – the Drakes are known for their work in archeology, and not much of that can be done locally. Still, he assumed that they took Timothy with them when they left the country for work. It seems a shame to leave him with a nanny this close to Christmas.

“Okay,” he says, erasing the numbers typed into his phone. “What’s your nanny’s number, then?”

    “My what?” Timothy looks scandalized.

“Your babysitter? Whoever is in charge of you while your parents are gone,” he clarifies.

I’m in charge of me when my parents are gone,” Timothy says proudly, his little chest puffing out. “I’m the Man of the House.”

    AKA

Tim gets to spend Christmas with the Waynes! This will not have lasting consequences, I'm sure.

    Summary

The Bruce-mood. By far, the worst case of Bruce to deal with.

The previous victims suffering from Bruce-mood would all agree that they prefer lecturing over this chaotic version of the silent
    treatment.

While in Bruce’s presence, the other bats would also ostracize the outcast in fear of also becoming part of the target of the mood until
Bruce’s approval to reintegrate them back in the fold.

There is no cure... unless you ask Jason.

Or, five times that Jason asked Bruce for a hug to help his family, and one time he asked for himself

    Summary

He freezes when Jason's eyes snap up, and he stumbles back, widening the gap between them. Bruce doesn't try to approach him again, his heart in his throat.

"You're not my dad." Jason mumbles, and Bruce watches as the boy's pupils shrink, and he looks horrified at something Bruce can't see. He's staring right at him, but for some reason, it feels as though Jason is looking through him.

The words sting like acid, and Bruce ignores the crushing of his lungs, "I… okay. Okay Jason."

"No, no, Bruce." Jason sounds frantic, and he pulls at his hair, "You're not my dad. You're different."

(Bruce is late to patrol, Jason freaks out. And finally, they talk — better late than never, after all.)

    Chapter 2

He confidently turns the corner, only to freeze, as Jason, half in the fridge, twists his head around, like an owl, with glowing eyes.

    Duke shrieks.

“Wah—” Jason’s hand jolts, and juice spills from the carton in his hand. “Duke?”

Or, Lazarus pit revival comes with some side effects. Here's Jason's family discovering and dealing with them.
