Summary
Zuko has been hunting the avatar for six years of his life, and when he watches Katara take away the presumably dead avatar, he knows in his gut Aang will live. Before returning to the fire nation he comes across Sokka, who says that Aang sent him, to stay with Zuko until Zuko was ready to be good. The nineteen year old Zuko is forced to take Sokka prisoner and returns to the fire palace. Then the worst possible thing happens, he finds himself saving the water tribe peasant's life the only way he can think of - making Sokka his captured concubine.
So now he is stuck in the palace, torn between sides of the war, between what he has always believed and what is right, with eyes constantly on them, and Sokka in his bed, being as much of an idiot as he always seemed to be.
Only he learns that Sokka isn't an idiot, returning home sucks, and that maybe he can be the person the avatar, and his uncle, suggested he could be.

Summary
Zuko's trying to rebuild his nation but he cannot do it alone so he asks Sokka for help. Too bad that there are several people in his nation that don't seem to understand just how competent Sokka is. It's not a problem, though, Zuko will just have to set them straight.
Or, 5 times Zuko made it very clear to the Fire Nation just how highly he valued Sokka and 1 time Sokka returned the favour with the Water Tribe.
