Summary

But when you finish the track, sometimes there's nothing left. Sometimes you have to find a new track--a harder one. So after Deathstroke shoots him in the knee, Bart moves in the only direction he can: forward.

Summary
Jaime's dead. It's hard to deny it when he's staring down at his own body. He's dead, and for some reason, Bart's the only one who can see him, and he's acting extremely weird about it. He's acting weird in general, actually, a lot more distant than he used to be, all sorts of strange habits he never noticed when they were just hanging out for a few hours at a time, the way he can just flip into the Bart he knows in the span of seconds. There's something very strange going on here, and he's determined to figure it out. It's not like he has anything better to do, after all.

Jaime knew it was a terrible idea, but it was time to continue weaving the unhealthy pattern of deceit. He was so tired he couldn’t even care if it was immoral. He just wanted to get his mother off his back, and telling a lie was the quickest way to do it. So that’s what he did.
“I- I met someone.”
“¡¿Por qué no me lo dijiste?!”
“I didn’t tell you because it’s still fairly new!”
“Okay. Then tell me how long you’ve been seeing this person?”
“Six months?”
“SIX MONTHS!”
Bianca cursed her son’s name - and he did too - before muttering to herself.
