Summary
Frank Langdon should not be touching Mel King like this.
Jesus, this was a bad idea.
But it was just a strap. And then her clavicles. And then his fingertips and nails along her arms, lightly grazing the raised goosebumps forming on her skin. Her body’s reaction to his touch was like a drug. He hoped she couldn’t feel his body’s response. Fuck, he wanted to touch her more.
No. That was it. It had to be. He was not going to ruin this moment. She would never be able to see him the same if he did that, and he needed Mel King not to hate him like grass needed the sun. She was his last refuge in a world that would not forgive him.

OR: When the world keeps finding reasons to kick them when they're down, Mel King and Frank Langdon find each other again and again.OR: Frank Langdon, stop giving that girl rides home.

Summary
He licked his lips and his throat bobbed. She exhaled sharply when his eyes went back to hers, his gaze heavily clouded with desire she also felt for him.
“You’re drunk, Mel.” He took a deep breath and closed his eyes. “You don’t know what you’re doing.”
She shook her head. “I didn’t drink a single drop of alcohol tonight. I know what I’m doing, Frank.”
Mel was drunk and Frank took care of her. Somewhere along the way they found it hard to ignore that they are meant to be more than friends.
Set after Trinity and Mel went to the karaoke bar.

Summary
Frank Langdon is an asshole. He knows this. Everyone in the ED tells him this every day. Princess, Collins, Garcia. They all know this.
What they don’t know, however, is that more than anything, he wants to be good. He tries to be good. To be a good dad, a good husband, a good doctor, a good person. He tries.

Summary
Langdon starts thinking of Mel like the sun, not only because she’s bright, but because everything else feels colder without her. The hospital is still the hospital. Loud and relentless, but when she’s there, the night becomes something he can get through. Somewhere along the way, she turns into the only person he actually wants to see.
OR Langdon comes back after his ten month hiatus and immediately gets put on night shift with Mel because of a shortage AND Mel gets boba.
